ZUO Peiyan, deputy mayor of Linyi, Shandong province, visited the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP) of the CAS on August, 11 together with experts in the management of sci-tech cooperation and application and entrepreneurs from Linyi.

ZUO Peiyan first paid a visit to Prof. XUE Qunji, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the academic committee of the LICP. He introduced to Prof. XUE the socio-economic development of Linyi which is the hometown of Prof. XUE.

Then, accompanied by Prof. LIU Weimin, director of the LICP, and Prof. WANG Qihua, vice director of the LICP, ZUO Peiyan and representatives from Linyi visited the exhibition room, State Key Laboratory for Oxo Synthesis and Selective Oxidation, State Key Laboratory of Solid Lubrication and Key Laboratory of Chemistry of Northwestern Plant Resources of the CAS. They were acquainted with the history, development, research areas, research platforms, faculty and staff and sci-tech achievements and industrialization of the LICP.

In the discussion session, ZUO Peiyan introduced to the researchers of the LICP the industry development of Linyi. He hoped that two sides could further enhance cooperation and promote exchanges. Prof. LIU shared the same opinion with ZUO Peiyan. Two sides had a discussion concerned several cooperative projects later.
