The second meeting of the 5th academic committee of the State Key Laboratory of Solid Lubrication was held on Oct. 30 in Yichang of the Hubei Province. The main theme of the meeting was “Summary of the work in 2010 and discussion of the sustainable development of the Laboratory”.

Prof. XUE Qunji, director of the academic committee, Prof. LI Jian, vice director of the committee and other 14 members of the committee attended the meeting.

Prof. LI Jian chaired the first half of the meeting during which Prof. LIU Weimin, director of the Laboratory, made a summary of Laboratory’s work in 2010 and introduced the plan for 2011.

The second half of the meeting was presided over by Prof. XUE. During this session, members of the committee had a discussion of the existing problems of the Laboratory and gave some advice on the future development of the Laboratory.
