Lecture: Advanced Tribology for the Environment in Rolling Technology Lecturer: Prof. Kiet Tieu,University of Wollongong, Australia Time: 15:00 Date: October 19 Place: Academic hall, 1st Floor, Lihua Building Introduction to Prof. Kiet Tieu: Professor Kiet Tieu is a Senior Professor in the School of Mechanical, Materials and Mechatronic Engineering at University of Wollongong. He is Academician of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE) and a member of the College of Expert of the Australian Research Council (ARC). He was Group Leader of Investigation Engineering at BlueScope Steel for 8 years. His research interests cover rolling technology, tribology and computational mechanics. He has published 550 papers. He was guest Managing Editor for 10 SCI journals in 2012-2013. He is a member of the Editorial Board of International J. Surface Science and Engineering, International J. Iron and Steel Research. He was awarded in 2011 the Quangcheng Friendship Award by the Jinan Municipal’s government, and the Qilu Friendship award by the Shandong Provincial People’s Government (China) for outstanding international collaborative research on strip shape control in hot rolling. He received in 2012 the William Johnson International Gold Medal for “Lifetime Achievements in Materials Processing Research and Teaching” by the International Committee for Advances in Materials and Processing Technologies (AMPT). |
