Jun Liang, Ph.D., Professor
Dr. Jun Liang received his B.S. from Hunan Normal University in 2002 and Ph.D. from Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics in 2007. From 2007 to 2010, he worked in Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, Germany as a postdoctoral research associate. He joined State Key Laboratory of Solid Lubrication, Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics since 2010. His main research interests are focused on the environmental behaviour and surface engineering of light-weight metals (Al, Mg, Ti and its alloys), solid lubricant films & special lubricants. He has published more than 40 papers in international journals such as Electrochim. Acta, Corros. Sci., Surf. Coat. Technol., Appl. Surf. Sci., J. Electrochem. Soc., etc.
Research areas:
Environmental corrosion and wear behaviour & mechanism of light-weight metals
Protective & functional coatings on light-weight metals (plasma electrolytic oxidation, electrolytic deposition metals & oxide films, electroless plating and chemical conversion)
Electro- & electroless deposition of metals in deep eutectic solvents
Solid lubricant films and special lubricants
