Member of the Enzyme Engineering Specialty Committee of the Chinese Society of Microbiology;

Standing Director of Gansu Chemical Society;

Deputy chief editor of Journal of Molecular Catalysis;

Member of the editorial boards of Chinese Journal of Catalysis, Acta Phys Chim Sin, Petrochemical Technology and Acta Microbiologica Sinica and other key journals in China.

Education Background

Graduated from Zhejiang University with Bachelor Degree of Science in 1982;

Got Ph, D degree in 1997;

Did cooperative research in the Chemical Department of University of North Texas from 1993 to 1994 and in the College of Life Sciences and Applied Science of the University of North London in 2001 respectively as a visiting scholar;  

Did applied basic research on environmental friendly catalytic reactions, such as catalytic reaction of atom economy, biology and bionic catalytic reaction and construction of carbon-heteroatom bonds;

Developed new technology in cleaning chemical engineering process, several new environmental friendly catalytic reaction systems for the rational synthesis oxygen-containing compounds;

Awards Won:

Two Awards for Science and Technology Progress of the CAS;

Award for Natural Sciences of Gansu Province (Grade Two);

Awards for Science and Technology Progress of Gansu Province (Grade One and Two);

Scientific Award for Youth of Gansu Province;

Having been receiving Special Government Allowance since 2001;

“Homogenous Catalysis (2007-2010)”--project supported by the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of China;

“Applied Basic Research on Homogenous Complex Catalysis” (2000-2003) and “Preparation of New Ionic Liquid and Research on its Functions” (2006-2009) -- projects supported by the State Key Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China;

“Structure and Functional Simulation of Monooxygenase” (1998-2000), “Selective Aromatic Oxidation Reaction of Dioxygenase” (2003-2005) and “Enzyme Catalyzed Simulated Oxidation Reaction of Environmental-Friendly” (2004-2006)--surface projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China;

“Comprehensive Utilization Technique of Bulk Oxygenated Compounds in Non-petroleum Routes” (2006-2009)--major project supported by the Eleventh Five-Year Plan for National Science and Technology;

“Research on the Preparation of Methanol through Catalytic Mechanism of Methane Monooxygenase”--subproject of “Catalytic Basis of the Optimized Utilization of Natural Gas and Coal Seam Gas” (2000-2004) supported by the National Basic Research Program of China;

“Research on and Industrialization of Refining Technology of Carbonylation of Non Ferrous Metal” (2002-2004)--project supported by the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China;

“R&D of Refining Technology of Carbonylation of Ni-Co and Preparation Technology of Ultrafine Ni Powders (2001-2005)--project supported by the West Development Program of the CAS;

 “New Technology in Clear Synthesis of Trioxane” and “Key Technology in Industrialization of the Non-phosgene Route Synthesis of Polycarbonate” (2008-2011)--project supported by the Funds of the CAS for Key Topics in Innovation Engineering;
