Abstract: A chemiluminescent method for the determination of catechin in acidic potassium permanganate solution has been established, and optimum conditions for the chemiluminescence were studied in details. Under optimum conditions, the linear range for catechin was 1.71×10-6~3.44×10-5mol/L and the detection limit, 4.64×10-7mol/L. The content of catechin analog in the compound catechin capsule, determind by this method was 327 mg/g with a recovery of 95.3%。
