Abstract: Samples were digested with a mixed acid of HF-HCl-HNO3-HClO4, in a 5% Nitric acid solution, Cu, Pb, Zn, Fein tomb soil samples were directly determined by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). The method overcomes the demerits of the traditional method i.e., a tediously long analytical procedure and a difficult to control process. The detection limits of the method were: 2.0 mg/g for Cu, 3.0 mg/g for Pb, 2.0 mg/g for Zn and 10 mg/g for Fe .The reliability of the method has been tested by the determination of these elements in the National Standard Reference samples and the results are in good agreement with certified values with precisions of 1.5%~12.0% RSD(n=12).The method exhibits simplicity ,rapidity , good reproducibility , wide linearity . It is suitable for the multi-element determination of dissolved mineral.
