Abstract: The issue of food safety has always been a widespreadly concerned hotspot, so choosing a low-cost, easy to use, and with a high sensitivity detection method becomes the focus in the field of testing food safety. Screen-printed electrodes with features including batch production, low cost, high sensitivity and disposable, have been widely used in food safety testing. Therefore, applied research on screen-printed electrodes in food safety testing is increasing, and various types of electrochemical sensors have been established in recent years. Based on the different types of electrochemical sensors, the application of screen-printed electrodes in food safety testing, and the application prospects of the screen-printed electrodes are introduced.
Key words: Screen-printed electrode; electrochemical sensors; food safety; nanomaterials
