Abstract: Using 4-tert-butyl-2-(α-methylbenzyl) phenol(t-BAMBP) to extract micro amounts of rubidium and cesium in the minerals, and then their concentrations in the extractants are tested using atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The selection of extractant, extraction pH, comparison of the effect, extraction time, interfering ions etc. are studied.Experimental results showed that the detection limit of rubidium is 0.02 μg/mL, cesium 0.08 μg/mL, when the concentrations of standard substances are in the range of 0~200 μg/50 mL, the linear relationship is not lower than 0.9989, the recovery rate is between 96.4%~104.4%,and the relative error is less than 1%.
