Introduction of the Laboratory:

　  The State Key Laboratory of Oxo Synthesis and Selective Oxidation was established with the support of the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The Laboratory falls into the category of the state key laboratories which are engaged in applied basic research. According to the developing trend of catalysis science and the national strategic demands in the fields of resources, energy and environment, the Laboratory carries out research on core S&T problems in green synthesis and clean conversion by giving prominence to the subject characteristics of oxo synthesis and selective oxidation and by strengthening the combination of applied basic research with applied research. The Laboratory aims at becoming the state key laboratory with significant international standing in the field of catalysis science to make greater contributions to the national high-tech research and technological progress of the related industry. The Laboratory also devotes itself to the cultivation of advanced specialized talents in related fields.

　  The Laboratory is now looking for outstanding candidates for the head of the Laboratory.

Responsibilities:

1) Centering on the general goal of S&T innovation, lead the team to draw up the five-year strategic development plan of S&T of the Laboratory and implement the plan; take charge of the formulation, improvement and implementation of the management system and rules of procedure;

2) Bring in outstanding academic leaders and backbones to build up an influential innovative research team in China and abroad;

3) Undertake the international and national key S&T projects to make symbolic S&T achievements with international advanced level;

4) Promote the intercrossing of research and disciplines of the Laboratory, strengthen the academic exchange with the outside and expand the influence of the Laboratory in China and abroad;

5) Raise innovative conception on the construction of the Laboratory and on the academic research;

6) Work no less than 9 months in the Laboratory each year; 

Qualifications:

1) Academic title of professor and doctor degree;

2) Spirit of dedication and collective cooperation and strong organizing skills and communication skills;

3) Influential academic fame in the field in China and abroad;
