Abstract: An ordered mesoporous Ru(II) organometallic catalyst was prepared by template-directed co-condensation of tetraethoxysilane and Ru(II) organometallic silane, which was characterized by FT-IR, NMR spectra, X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and nitrogen sorption techniques. During water-medium isomerization of homoallylicalcohol, the as-prepared mesoporous Ru(II) organometallic catalystexhibited high activity and selectivity. It showed comparable efficiency with the corresponding Ru(II) homogeneous catalyst and could be used repetitively, showing a good potential in green chemical industries.
