Decomposition of PH3 to High Purity Phosphorus over Co-B Amorphous Alloy

Abstract: Co-B amorphous alloy was prepared by chemical reduction. ICP, DSC, SEM, BET, SAED and XRD technologies were used to characterize its composition and structure. Its new application in decomposition of PH3 to high purity phosphorus was investigated. The results indicate that Co-B has high catalytic activities in the decomposition of PH3. The decomposition rate of PH3 can reach 84.7% at 390 ℃, 90.2% at 420 ℃ and 99.8% at 450 ℃.
