Abstract: UV irradiation of Ag/H-ZSM-5 catalyst prepared by a conventional impregnation method in the presence of NO leaded to the photocatalytic decomposition of NO into N2 and O2. The catalysts were characterized by using XRD, UV-vis diffuse spectroscopy, it was found that both high-dispersed Ag ions and Ag clusters played important role in the reaction. Ag+ was sensitive to higher temperature, however, silver amino complex ions supported on the zeolite could be pretreated in lower temperature which was able to acquire more silver ions and silver clusters.
