Abstract: (R,R)-N,N'-dimethyl-N,N'-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)cyclohexane-1,2-diamine (R,R-mcp)and the corresponding R,R-mcp-Mn^IIOTf₂ complex were synthesized. Chrial manganese complex was used for the asymmetric epoxidation of α, β-unsaturated ketones. The amount of catalyst and oxidant were examined and then the scope of substrates was tested in the conditions of substrates : H₂O₂ : CH₃COOH = 1 : 6 : 5 and the ee values were obtained in the range of 56-70%.
