Abstract: Catalytic wet air oxidation (CWAO) is a process that efficiently removes high concentration and toxic organic wastewater under mild conditions. The classification of the catalysts, reaction mechanisms and kinetic models are reviewed in this paper. It is indicated that developing efficient heterogeneous catalysts, investigating the reaction mechanisms and kinetic models are significant.

Key words: catalytic wet air oxidation; catalysts;reaction mechanisms; kineticmodels
