Abstract: The direct propylene epoxidation in the presence of hydrogen and oxygen was studied over Au catalysts supported on a Sn-modified TS-1. The supported Au catalysts were prepared using the deposition-precipitation method. The effects of Sn contents on the structure and catalytic properties of catalysts were investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopicresults showed that the Sn was incorporated into the struture of the TS-1. The presence of Sn in the catalyst resulted in an increment of C3H6 concersion from 1.6 to 2.5% and PO selectivity from 87 to 90%, which may be due to a ligand effect.
