Abstract: Recently, iron catalysts have received much attention due to their lower cost and environmental impact. However, chiral iron catalysts in asymmetric catalysis have been fewer studied compared with chiral Ru, Rh and Ir catalysts. In this review, we summarize the development of chiral iron catalyst in asymmetric reduction of ketones and imines, asymmetric oxidation of olefins and sulfides, asymmetric cycloadditions, asymmetric cyclopropanation and asymmetric Friedel-Crafts alkylation.
Key words: chiral iron catalyst; asymmetric reduction; asymmetric oxidation; asymmetric cycloaddition; asymmetric cyclopropanation;
