Abstract: Using TiO2-P25 as a main material, CuOx loaded TiO2-P25 photocatalysts were prepared via wet impregnation method. The catalysts were characterized with powder X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), XPS,BET, High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM), X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometry (XRF) and photoluminescence (PL). The photoactivity of the catalysts was tested by photocatalytic reduction of CO2 with H2O vapor to produce chemically valuable compound including CH4 in self-build experimental set up. The experiment results suggested that the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 was improved remarkably with the loading of CuOx on the catalyst surface. The CH4 yield on 1%CuOx/TiO2 reached 24.86µmol·gTi-1 after 72h UV irradiation, and the CuOx loading amount , the reaction temperature, reaction time also had great effect on CH4 yield.
