Abstract: Fischer-Tropsch (F-T) synthesis continues to receive attention as an alternative for the production of ultra-clean transportation fuels and chemicals. The reduction performance of Co catalyst supported on alumina was investigated by XRD, TPR, XPS and H2-TPD. Catalyst can not be activated sufficiently at low temperature, and high reduction temperature may result in sintering of Co particles and decrease the active surface. So the optimum reduction temperature range was 400-500℃. The performance of the catalyst reduced at this temperature range is relatively excellent.
