Abstract: The present work introduces the catalyst Phosphorusmolybdenumic Acid, prepared by impregnation method, and used in synthesize maleic anhydride by oxidizing the renewable resource furfural. The study analyzed physical and chemical properties, such as the catalyst surface area, dispersion and structural characteristics. The Phosphorusmolybdenumic Acid catalytic performance was studied through a fixed bed micro-reactor; the study also included the calination temperature, catalyst loading impact, and the yield of maleic anhydride on reaction temperature impact. The result shows that the prepared catalyst had the Keggin structure of heteropoly acid, and well separated on the carrier SiO2; when activation temperature at 400 ℃, PMA content at 48.6%, the catalyst was at the best performance; at the reaction temperature of 365 ℃, a 57.2% yield of maleic acid was obtained.
