Abstract: Wear-resisting property and wear mechanisms of the friction pair materials in 11Mo4Cr2V/42CrMo system under dry friction condition were studied by metallography, SEM, EDS techniques and wear test. The results show that, after 120 min dry friction, wear ratio of the 11Mo4Cr2V material was very low (2.096×10-15kg/(m·N). This kind of material had good wear-resisting property. On the other hand, the friction pair materials in 11Mo4Cr2V/42CrMo system had good match capability. Wear mechanisms of the 11Mo4Cr2V material were abrasive wear-off and adhesive wear-off, adhesive wear-off. The 42CrMo material, wear mechanisms of which were abrasive wear-off and slight adhesive wear-off, had lower wear degree than the 11Mo4Cr2V material because of its high hardness.
