Abstract: In this paper, based on the high temperature deformation behavior of Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy, the equal channel angular extrusion(ECAE)3D model has been set up. Effect of the different friction coefficient on the temperature, effective stress, effective strain and the effective strain rate have been studied in isothermal condition at 600°C. The study shows that the high temperature and high-stress zone mainly concentrated on in the corner. With the increase of friction coefficient, the area of high temperature zone and the stress at the inlet of the corner increased; point trace tracking result shows that the strain reached the maximum at the corner and the deformation is not stable at the location of exterior angle and interior angle.

Key words: Ti-6Al-4V alloy; friction coefficient; equal channel angular extrusion(ECAE); Finite element analysis
