An award ceremony for the 2010 Gansu Scientific and Technological Award was held in Lanzhou, Jan 24, 2011. Four achievements of the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP) of the CAS were granted with scientific and technological awards.
"Lubricating Materials and Technologies for Space Use and Their Application” project conducted by Prof. LIU Weimin won the first prize of the technological invention award. “Structure of Solid Lubricating Thin Films and Super Low Friction” project conducted by Prof. ZHANG Junyan won the second prize of the natural science award. “Chemical Components of Northwestern Plant Resources and Their Analysis Techniques” project conducted by Prof. SHI Yanping won the third prize of the natural science award. “Key Preparation Techniques of Swainsonine” project conducted by Prof. DI Dulong won the third prize of the scientific and technological progress award. In addition, “Bionic and Optimized Design and Preparation of Dental Materials” project in which Prof. YANG Shengrong participated won the third prize of the scientific and technological progress award.
It is reported that altogether 181 awards have been presented in Gansu province in 2010, among which there are 8 natural science awards, 3 technological invention awards and 170 scientific and technological awards.
