About Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP):

Founded in 1958, the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of the CAS is a multidisciplinary institute mainly engaging in the research on resource & energy, new materials, biology & health.

Vision: LICP strives to build itself into a high-tech innovation research base of resource & energy chemistry and new materials in western China with distinctive characteristics and sustainable developing capacity.

Goal of the Laboratory:

To produce hydrogen through the catalysis of natural gas, low carbon hydrocarbon and oxygen containing compounds; develop catalysts for hydrogen production directly from water splitting by solar energy; carry out research on solar heating and photovoltaic conversion; to explore new routes for dye-sensitized cells by nano-polycrystalline titania and ionic liquids.

I Laboratory Director (1 vacancy)

Responsibilities:

1. To draft the overall development plan of the laboratory;

2. To be in charge of the comprehensive management of the laboratory;

3. To build up an innovative research group through effective recruitment;

4. To organize project implementation;

5. To be in charge of the cooperation and academic exchanges with other research institutions;

II Vice Laboratory Director (2 vacancies)

Responsibilities:

1. To assist the director in drafting the development plan and other related documents;

2. To be in charge of the discipline construction and routine management;

3. To apply for projects and organize the academic activities and exchanges with other research institutions;

Qualifications:

1. Those having Chinese nationality or willing to give up foreign nationality to work in China;

2. Doctor’s degree;

3. Two years’ overseas working experience;

4. Has earned the professional title of assistant professor abroad or professor in China;

5. Under the age of 45;

6. Has publications in key journals or major patents;

7. Influential in the academic circle;

8. Diligent and devoting;

9. Good counseling, communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills;

10. Has presided over projects or participated in projects implementation as major participants;

11. Innovative and creative in the future development of the laboratory;
