LICP Signs Cooperative Agreement with Huaiyin Institute of Technology

    Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), CAS, signs cooperative agreement with Huaiyin Institute of Technology (HIT) in Lanzhou on June 18, 2010. On behalf of the two sides, ZHAO Xiuru, vice director of LICP, and ZHU Hanqing, president of HIT, signs the agreement. And the related personnel attend the signing ceremony.

   In recent years, HIT has done much work on attapulgite clay and established Key Laboratory for Attapulgite Science and Applied Technology of Jiangsu Province. R&D Center for Eco-material and Eco-chemistry of LICP has carried out a series of research on the high value utilization of attaplgus clay resources, which provides the basic data for the application of attapulgite clay in organic/inorganic composite materials. And it has a high-level research platform and research team of attapulgite clay as well.

   LICP and HIT has cooperated with each other in the research on attapulgite clay and Prof. WANG Aiqing, director of R&D Center for Eco-material and Eco-chemistry has been appointed the director of the Key Laboratory for Attapulgite Science and Applied Technology of Jiangsu Province by HIT. Both sides have agreed to enhance exchanges and cooperation in the future to promote the high-value utilization and deep processing of attapulgite clay in China.
