During the 27th annual conference of the Chinese Chemical Society held recently, Prof. XUE Qunji, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, won the Chemical Contribution Award jointly presented by the Chinese Chemical Society and China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation. Prof. XIA Chungu, vice director of Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), Prof. HUANG Hanmin, Prof. ZHOU Feng, general secretary of the Gansu Chemical Society, ZHAO Rongsheng ,consultant of the Gansu Chemical Society attended the conference.
The Chemical Contribution Award of the Chinese Chemical Society and China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation was jointly established by the Chinese Chemical Society and China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation in 2008. It aims to honor those who have made remarkable contributions to chemistry.
Prof. XUE is one of the academic leaders in material science and special lubricating materials in China. He has long been engaged in research on special lubricating materials and made singificant achievements in the related area.
It is reported that altogether 4 people have won the award. The other three are Prof. ZHOU Qifeng of Peking University, Prof. TONG Zhenhe of Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, CAS, and Prof. QIAO Jinliang of the China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation.
