Self-Assembled Structures－Properties and Applications in Solution and on Surfaces, co-complied by the Shandong University and Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP) of the CAS, was published by the CRC Press in December 2010.

The book was edited by Dr. HAO Jingcheng, Professor of the Shandong University and Joint professor of the LICP. It contains six chapters.

The book mainly focuses on the formation, properties and application of the self-assembled structures in solution and on solid surfaces, including the self-assembly mechanisms based on carbon materials, polymers, inorganic nano-materials, heteropolyacid, protein, amino acid, and the preparation of functional ordered structures.

Prof. ZHOU Feng, Dr. YU Bo and Dr. FAN Dawei of the LICP contributed the fifth and sixth chapters introducing the progress in the self-assembly of heteropolyacid and polymer brush assemblies respectively.
