LI Jun, director of the Technology Center of the China FAW Group Corporation (FAW Group), came to the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP) of the CAS on January 24 and paid a visit to Prof. XUE Qunji, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

In May 2009 the Joint Laboratory of Automobile Tribology was founded by the FAW Group and LICP. Researchers of the LICP have studied the key techniques in automobile tribology to realize energy saving, emission reduction and reliability of the engines and transmission systems of automobiles. By making full use of the advantages of both sides, progress has been achieved in the related area.

The two sides then had a discussion concerning the development of technologies in automobile industry.
