Prof. LI Jinheng from the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Hunan University, visited the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics and gave a lecture entitled “Transition-metals Catalyzed Cyclization” on May 19.
In his report, Prof. LI introduced his group’s work in the synthesis of indolone compound via transition-metals catalyzed cyclization and new cyclization reactions of C-H bond activaction in recent years. He also shared his experiences in guiding students and paper submission with the attendees.
Prof. LI received his bachelor’s degree from Hunan Normal University in 1994. In 2000 he received his mater’s degree from the Guangzhou Institute of Chemistry of the CAS and doctoral degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 2002. From 2002 to 2004 he did postdoctoral research in Prof. YANG Dan’s group of the Department of Chemistry of Hongkong University. Now he works in the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Hunan University and his main research areas include cross-coupling reactions and tandem reactions.
Prof. LI was invited by the State Key Laboratory for Oxo Synthesis and Selective Oxidation.
