The Technology Innovation Alliance for Northwest Natural Medicine was founded with the founding ceremony held on September 8. The founding of the Alliance was initiated by the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. More than 30 research institutes, institutions of higher education and enterprises from Gansu, Qinghai provinces, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Regions have joined the Alliance.

“The Alliance will push forward the transformation of sci-tech achievements and integrate scientific research and industrial production with the ultimate goal to raise the innovative ability and promote soci-economic development”, said Liu Weimin, director the LICP.

ZHANG Tianli, head of the Gansu Sic. & Tech. Department, expressed the hope that the member of the Alliance could make full use of their respective advantages and build up a new system with the combination of research, education and industrial production. 

The founding ceremony was attended by YU Haiyan, ivce governor of Gansu province and Prof. XUE Qunji, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Alliance members.
