Prof. XUE Qunji

"Graduate students’ competitiveness and innovative ability are to be raised", said Prof. XUE Qunji during the 2011 school-opening ceremony held on September 9 at the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

In his report entitled “Development of Competitiveness and Innovative Ability”, Prof. XUE, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, introduced the current economic and scientific development home and abroad, analyzed the major scientific fields and development trend in the 21st century and explained how to be a person with innovative ability. He pointed out that to be innovative one must seize the opportunity, be cooperative and have the courage to challenge the tradition, etc.
