"Preparation of Oleuroprin and Flavonoids Extracts from Olive Leaves and Their Industrialization” project, undertaken by the CAS Key Laboratory of Chemistry of Northwestern Plant Resources, Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), passed the acceptance check organized by the Bureau of Academy-Locality Cooperation of the CAS.
The project has realized the high-valued utilization of waste of olive leaves. Using macroporous adsorbing resins as separation materials, applying multiple tandem resin column to adsorb and separate and binary/ternary elution system to realize gradient elution, oleuroprin and flavonoids can be extracted simultaneously. The product content of oleuroprin and flavonoids can reach 70% and 20% respectively.
The assessment team consisted of about 10 experts from the CAS, Lanzhou Branch of the CAS, Gansu Provincial S&T Department, Lanzhou University, Northwest Normal University, Lanzhou University of Technology, etc.
