A pilot scale production line of automobile exhaust purifying catalysts was constructed by the National Engineering Research Center of Fine Petrochemical Intermediates at the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP) of the CAS in Jinhu county, Jiangsu province.

Jiangsu Zhengnan Environment Protection Technology Corporation Ltd. also participated in the construction.

The products produced with the production line were obtained recently. The sampling results showed that the products met the China’s national vehicle emission standard IV (“China IV standard” for short).

During the production process, the preparation of nano ceric coating materials, method of coating a catalyst carrier and other key technologies have been used.

The catalysts prepared showed excellent anti-thermal ageing property, wide stoichiometric window and had low content of noble metal.After being aged for 100 hrs at 800℃, the temperature difference of start temperature before and after being aged is under 20℃ and the stoichiometric window is more than 0.6.
