Professor SONG Jian from Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences Visits LICP

Professor SONG Jian from the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences, Germany, visited the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), on July 24. During his visit, he gave a lecture entitled Coating Materials for High Performance Electrical Contacts. Professor SONG Jian was invited by the R&D Center of Lubricating and Protecting Materials of the LICP.

In his lecture, Professor SONG Jian introduced his group’s work on noble metal thin films for contact materials, the relationship between anti-wear property and service life of thin films, the improvement of the anti-wear property of thin films through alloying of noble metal, addition of hard ceramic nanoparticles and soft polymer nanoparticle.
