Professor ZHOU Feng Honored 2011 Young Chemist Award by Chinese Chemical Society

Professor ZHOU Feng, vice-director of the State Key Laboratory of Solid Lubrication, Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was honored the 2011 Young Chemist Award by the Chinese Chemical Society on January 17.

Prof. ZHOU’s research interests include ultra-slippery soft matter, drag and noise reduction, anti-fouling, wetting and lubrication under special environment, biological lubrication, etc. He has 8 authorized patents and more than 120 publications in JACS, NanoLetters, AngewChem, AdvMater and so on. He has been invited to give more than 10 plenary lectures.

Prof. ZHOU was honored Young Scientist Award of Gansu province, Young Scholar Award of the Tribology Institute of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. In 2011 he received the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars.

The Young Chemist Award of the Chinese Chemical Society was granted once a year to less than 10 candidates. In 2011 altogether 10 young scientists were honored the award.
