The list of the research fellows selected as recipients of the 2009 “Western Light” Talents Training Program of the CAS was released recently. The project of “Application of Lignin Discharged from Papermaking Wastewater in the Preparation of Chemical Sand Solidifying Agents”, undertaken by Prof. Wang Lailai of the LICP, has won support from the “Western Light” Joint-Scholar Program. The project of “Preparation of TCM Nanoparticles by Liquid Phase Ultrasonic Method”, undertaken by Associate Prof. Yang Jianshe, has won support from the “Western Light” General Projects Supporting Program. Liu Jianhua, Zhang Qinghua, Li Chen and Mu Bo have won support from the “Western Light” Supporting Program for Doctors. Prof. Hu Litian, recipient of the “Western Light” program in 2005, continues to be supported after being judged excellent in the final evaluation.
