On December 20, 2009, over 70 students from the Gansu Lianhe University and Lanzhou City College participated in the 16th Representative Assembly of the Gansu Chemical Society and Academic Exchange Conference held in the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and visited the LICP.

　　  Students visited the exhibition room and were acquainted with the history, staff, research fields, achievements, S&T innovation and training of postgraduates of the LICP. During the visit, students showed great interest in the scientific research and raised many questions. The researchers explained patiently to the students the role the LICP played in the project- Space Test of the Solid Lubricating Materials in the Applied Systems of the VII Spaceship.

　　  Prof. Liu Weimin, Director of the LICP, said that Gansu Chemical Society should play its due role in the scientific innovation and popularization of scientific knowledge and eventually make more contributions to the development of chemistry and socio-economic development in Gansu Province.
