XIA Chungu, director of Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and WANG Qihua, vice director of LICP, inspected Qingdao R&D Center of LICP from November 14 to November 15. They also visited WANG Guangzheng, vice mayor of Qingdao and other leaders of Qingdao municipal government and government of Laoshao district during their inspection.

During their meeting with leaders of Qingdao and Laoshao district, XIA Chungu said that, the construction of Qingdao R&D Center had received much support from Qingdao municipal government and government of Laoshan district. He and the staff of LICP were gratitude for that and he hoped for a closer tie with Qingdao municipal government and government of Laoshan district to speed up the construction of Qingdao R&D Center.

WANG Guangzheng said that, as a key project established in 2009 by Qingdao municipal government, the construction of Qingdao R&D Center was of importance for the development of Qingdao. Qingdao municipal government and government of Laoshan district would support the construction of the Center in the future as usual. He also hoped for a close tie with LICP to promote common development.

The construction of Qingdao R&D Center by LICP and Qingdao municipal government and government of Laoshan district started in 2009. It has been established to enhance the industrialization of scientific achievement made by LICP by making use of the advanced technique of LICP and superior geological location of Qingdao. The ultimate goal is to promote mutual development of LICP and Qingdao.
