Professor CUI Yuxin from Peking University visited Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP) of the CAS on May 20 and delivered a lecture entitled Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Experimental Strategies in Verification of Special Structure of Organic Molecules during his visit.

In his report, Professor CUI introduced the history, major application areas and key performance parameters of NMR, application of NMR in the study of the structure of organic molecules and how to obtain useful NMR experimental results. He then introduced several NMR experimental strategies for the verification of special structure of organic molecules.

Introduction to Professor CUI:

Professor CUI Yuxin graduated from Lanzhou University in 1977 and worked there since then. In 1997 he joined Peking University. From 1989 to 1991 he studied at Chinese University of Hongkong. He received his doctor’s degree from Lanzhou University in 1994. In 1996 he did his postdoctoral research at Chinese University of Hongkong. He has been long engaged in organic synthesis, structural analysis of drugs and NMR. He has published more than 160 papers.
