The 5th Sino-UK Symposium on Tribology and Surface Engineering was held in Qingdao from July 31 to August 2. The theme of the symposium was marine tribology and corrosion. About 70 researchers from Britain, America, Republic of Korea and China attended the symposium.
During the symposium, 22 experts made keynote speeches and invited lectures.
The symposium was co-hosted by State Kay Laboratory of Solid Lubrication at Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), National Centre for Advanced Tribology at University of Southampton (nCATS) and Reliability Engineering Institute at Wuhan University of Technology.
Sino-UK Symposium on Tribology and Surface Engineering was initiated jointly by LICP and University of Southampton with the aim to promote the exchange and cooperation between Chinese tribological researchers and their overseas counterpart. Altogether 5 symposiums have been held.
