Professor ZHOU Feng Granted Outstanding Youth Award by International Society of Bionic Engineering

Professor ZHOU Feng from Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) was granted the Outstanding Youth Award by the International Society of Bionic Engineering in recognition of his valuable contributions in the field of bionic engineering during the 4th International Conference on Bionic Engineering held from August 14 to 16.

Dr. Feng Zhou is a full Professor in State Key Lab of Solid Lubrication, Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics. He got Ph.D. in 2004 at Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics. He has been working as an associate professor in Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics between 2004 and 2005. Afterwards he spent three years (2005-2008) in the Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge as a postdoctoral research associate. He has published more than 70 journal papers and been invited for talks in several international conferences. His research Interests are focused on material science at micro/nano scales and interfaces, which include nano/micro patterning, polymer brushes, sensing and actuation, functional composite coatings for icephobicity, oleophobicity and antifouling, and thin film lubrication etc.

The International Society of Bionic Engineering (ISBE) is an educational, non-profit, non-political organization formed in 2010 to foster the exchange of information on bionic engineering research, development and application.
