The Pre-Symposium of the 16th International Congress on Catalysis: International Symposium on Relations between Homogeneous Catalysis and Organometallic Chemistry was held on June 30 to July 2, 2016, at the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

Twenty scholars from China, Japan, Russia, the Republic of Korea, German and Singapore delivered lectures on homogeneous catalysis and organometallic chemistry.

The Symposium was organized by the State Key Laboratory for Oxo Synthesis & Selective Oxidation of the LICP. The chair and co-chair of the Symposium was Professor DING Kuiling from the Shanghai Institute of Organic Physics of CAS and Professor XIA Chungu from the LICP.
