Prof. WANG Aiqin from the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences received the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM) Medal for the year 2017 during the International Conference on Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology 2017 held in Allahabad, Indian, from 1st to 3rd March. He was awarded the medal for his notable and outstanding contributions in the field of “Advanced Materials Science and Technology”.
IAAM is to provide research and education forum for the developments of the rapidly expanding field of Advanced Materials Science, Engineering and Technology in all over world. IAAM organizes regular conferences, in particular the Advanced Materials World Congress, European Advanced Materials Congress, American Advanced Materials Congress, Asian Advanced Materials Congress along with parrallel events. It honors outstanding researchers and prepares a variety of publications. IAAM Medal is honored for notable and outstanding research in Materials Science and Technology which may relate to Biological, Chemical, Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean and Planetary, Engineering, Mathematical, Medical and Physical Sciences.
Dr. Aiqin Wang is a Professor of Materials Science and Doctorial Supervisor. He has engaged in the research and development of natural nanomaterials, environmental friendly materials, the modification of clay minerals and their applications in functional materials. He has published more than 300 SCI papers, the total citation is over 8000 times, and the h-index is 48. He has been selected as one of the most cited Chinese researchers (Top 5) in field of Chemical Engineering in 2014, 2015 and 2016 respectively. He has published 6 monographs, applied 82 invention patents (45 been issued) and won 10 awards, including National Science and Technology Progress Award of China (second prize) and so on.
