Synergistic effect of coordinating interface and promoter for enhancing ammonia synthesis activity of Ru@N-C catalyst

Abstract
The synergistic effect between nanomaterials with different dimensions can enhance wear and corrosion resistance of surface protective coatings. In this work, GO-pva-SiC and RGO-pva-SiC coatings were constructed on stainless steel substrate by combining spraying process and subsequent chemical reduction of hydrazine hydrate. Tribological tests have shown that GO-pva-SiC coating exhibits good lubricating performance under low load and long wear life under high load. After reduction, RGO-pva-SiC coating presents a longer wear resistance life (25,000 cycles) at a lower friction coefficient of 0.11 under 20.0 N. Furthermore, the electrochemical corrosion behavior indicates that the addition of SiC NWs can enhance corrosion resistance of graphene-based coatings. This work provides an efficient way to develop graphene-based composite coatings for practical engineering applications.
