Introduction to Prof. Norio Shibata:

He received his PhD in 1993 at Osaka University under the supervision of Prof. Yasuyuki Kita. After working as a postdoctoral fellow in several famous groups, he worked as a lecturer at Toyama Medical & Pharmaceutical University in 1997. He joined Nagoya Institute of Technology in 2003 as an associate professor, and was promoted to a professor in 2008. His research covers (a) Organic Fluorine Chemistry; (b) Thalidomides; (c) Phthalocyanines. He has more than 400 published papers and many of them were published in top journals.

1. 2007 20th Incentive Award in Chemical Society in Japan

3. 2004 Incentive Award in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Japan
