Lecture: ZnO Nanostructure for Environment: Energy Harvesting, Gas Sensing & Water Purification

Lecturer: Prof. Yamin LEPRINCE-WANG (王亚敏), Université Paris-Est Marne-La-Vallée (UPEM), France

Date: April 15

Time: 10:00

Place: Academic hall, 3rd Floor, Lihua Building

Abstract of the Lecture: ZnO is a typical II-VI wide direct band gap compound semiconductor. Due to its multifunctional properties, the environmental friendly ZnO can be considered in a wide range of applications such as optics, optoelectronics, sensors, actuators, energy, biomedical sciences and spintronics.
This presentation focuses on ZnO as a nanostructure with promising applications in environment: energy harvesting, gas sensing & water purification. The ZnO nanostructures have been synthetized using different low cost fabrication methods such as electrodeposition, hydrothermal & electrospinning.
