Basic Information:
Prof. Aiqin Wang is the Director of R&D Center of Eco-material and Eco-Chemistry of Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He graduated from the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Lanzhou University in 1986 and obtained his PhD from the LICP, CAS in 1999 for research on water treatment of chitin and chitosan derivatives. He has been a full Professor since 2000 and worked as Visiting Professor of JSPS at ONRI (Japan) in 2002.
His research focuses on synthesis, characterisation and adsorption processes of functional adsorbent materials, oil sorption resins, natural and clay adsorbent materials. Recently he has developed granular hydrogel superadsorbent materials and separation processes for fast and efficient removal and separation of hazardous matter from contaminated water and the recovery and pre-concentration of precious metal ions from different media. He has published over 450 journal papers, 6 book, 6 book chapters and granted 25 patents. He has received numerous honors and awards for his research. Moreover, he is the Member of the Editorial Board of Chemical Engineering Research and Design、Current Environmental Engineering、Iranian Polymer Journal and Journal of Engineering and Technological Sciences.
