Research areas:
1. Tribologiacal characteristics and lubricating mechanisms of low-dimensional carbon nanomaterials, such as graphene, CNTs, and so on.
2. Superlubricity of amorphous carbon-based films and the design of its nanostructures, including fullerene-like nanostructured carbon films, graphene-like carbon films, graphite-like carbon films, various nanocomposite or nano-multilayer coatings (Si-DLC, Mo-DLC, Ti-DLC, Cr-DLC, MoS2-DLC, and so on)
3. Tribological properties of carbon-based materials in space environment and the applications.
4. Temperature responsed self-healing lubricating coating materials in wide-temperature range.
