Chen Jing

 

 

 

     Jing Chen is a full Professor and leader of Molecular Catalysis & Technology group in State Key Laboratory for Oxo Synthesis and Selective Oxidation, Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Her research Interests span over carbonylation reactions, ionic liquids (ILs), nano materials. Now, great breakthrough had been obtained in carbonylation of oxygenous compounds, ionic liquids catalyzed condensation and polycondensation reactions, nano-catalysts and applications in hydrogenation reactions. Prof. Chen got the second prize of Gansu province Science & Technology advancement award in the synthesis of ethylene carbonate catalyzed by IL and realized the successful industrial test of the technology of synthesizing trioxane by using IL catalyst for the first time in the world. Prof. Chen has won the support of the key project--“The Non-oil Based Technology of the Comprehensive Utilization of Bulk Oxygenated Compounds” of the National Eleventh Five-Years’ Science-Based Plan, Knowledge Innovation Project of CAS and LICP, cooperation with China BlueChemical Ltd, China National Petrolem Corporation etc. Prof. Chen has formed special characters research work on task-specific ionic liquids, nano-sized catalytic materials, Energy and Chemical Industry in place of methanol, the Selective conversion of carbon-neutral biomass into useful chemicals and established a long-term strategic co-operation relationship with GTC Technology Inc. in new catalytic materials & technology. To date, Prof. Chen has published more than 30 papers, and have 30 Patents including 3 granted international Patents.
