  • 6th UK-China Symposium on Tribology Held at University of Southampton

    The 6th UK-China Symposium on Tribology was held in the coastal city Southampton, UK, between 31st August and 2nd September 2014. This symposium focused on “Nanomaterials and Tribology”. Altogether 60 scholars from Britain, the Republic of Korea and China attended the Symposium.

    1,3-diamines are important structural motifs in many natural products and pharmaceuticals. As a result, much effort has been devoted to the development of effective methods to access these compounds. However, unlike their 1,2-diamine counterparts, few methods for the direct synthesis of 1,3-diamines have been described.
